Drupal Community Portal

Hi,
I don't know much about drupal but a friend has asked me to look at their website, basically the side bar is displaying in the middle with the content and the content is in the middle but only at the width of the side bar. I looked at the forum and there was a topic simillar and I tried inserting the solution to style.css and it did not work.
The site is using publisher theme, does anyone have any ideas how I can resolve this problem, i'm not really sure where to start, all the other pages are working fine just the front page which is playing up.
